Answer from: U.S. Rep. Barbara Cubin (R-WY)

I can guarantee you the entire west does not look like Grand Teton National Park, and I think some of these Congressmen think the entire west looks like Grand Teton National Parks.

How do you curtail the sprawl?

You raise a good point. I'd like to know how you propose to cut back on population and sprawl. It will be tough for people to give up property that they own for wilderness. Would you suggest tax incentives?

More wilderness and less sprawl

I think that we need to not only scale back our development but perhaps abandon and let nature reclaim a large portion of this country. The development during the post war years has taken a toll on our natural resources and nature as a whole and I believe that we need to reduce our population and our sprawl.

Wilderness doesn't have to be pretty.

Respectfully Rep. Cubin, we shouldn't be designating land as 'wilderness' just because it is pretty. The earth that our country rests upon is the greatest resource that we have. It was here long before we came, and it will stay here long after we've gone. Not only do we owe it to future generations of Americans but also to people all across the planet to protect American wilderness.

Just because stretches of this country don't look like the 'Grand Tetons' doesn't mean that they aren't useful for cleansing the environment of the toxins that we are introducing...
