Rep. Chaffetz Leaves Door Open for Senate Run
Freshman Congressman Jason Chaffetz (R-UT) has only been in office since January, but he isn’t shying away from talk of challenging three term Senator Bob Bennett in 2010.
“You know I don’t want to close the door totally – never say 'never',” Chaffetz said.
Chaffetz says the biggest policy disagreement between them is that Sen. Bennett supported the Bush Administration’s 'Wall Street bailout,' which propped up financial firms with $700 billion. Though Chaffetz says, at least for now, he isn’t planning a run. read more »
