One of the best things about starting your own company is being able to choose the people you work with every day. At CNC we have been blessed with the best and the brightest, and you can hear that every day in the radio news reporting from Congress our talented team provides some 200 stations. But finding the money to hire everyone you need isn't easy for a nonprofit like CNC.

That is why I am so thrilled, indeed relieved, to be able to augment our award-winning journalistic talent by adding two dynamic, highly-skilled, motivated and experienced individuals with business, marketing and web expertise to our senior management team. Today we announce two key new positions: A Chief Operating Officer and a Multimedia Manager.

As COO, Katie Kemple will oversee all non-editorial systems and operations, new business development, marketing and human resources. She'll work closely with me to develop and diversify our revenue streams around our customized and interactive content on the web, corporate sponsorships and international sales. Kemple comes to CNC after having spent most of her career in public radio at WGBH in Boston and WETA in Arlington, VA. She holds an Executive Masters in Leadership from the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University and a BFA from Emerson College in Boston.

Arindam Mukherjee joins CNC as its Multimedia Manager. He will oversee the enhancement of our sites www.askyourlawmaker.org and www.cncnews.org and help to create new tools and applications to distribute CNC content. Mukherjee comes from the Red Cross, KLAS TV and America Online.
